Relational Love ❤ Starts With Self-Love

For the past 2 posts, we’ve been discussing Projectional Love. It’s good to understand because to some extent, we all project onto everyone we date. But now, let’s discuss how to create the kind of love that makes long-term relationships work, Relational Love.

Relational Love means continually making the CHOICE to see, love, and accept our partners for who they truly are RIGHT NOW…and now…and now… It’s about choosing love, again and again, no matter what.

And to choose love, choose an amazing partner, and create a soulmate-level conscious partnership, we have to first learn how to TRULY LOVE & ACCEPT OURSELVES. 

I mean, love every single part of you !!! (Yes, even the parts you do not like 😁)!

Now, how do we truly LOVE every part of ourselves? 

Well, we first have to KNOW every part of ourselves. And one incredible way to do this is by discovering, speaking with, and embodying the different voices inside our minds (like our inner child, inner critic, the voice of our parents, our inner masculine or feminine, etc.). It’s so helpful to understand why they are here and what they need or want.

And once these parts of our mind/body are explored, next on the journey to self-love is INTEGRATION through our 3 brains (the cortex, limbic system, and primal brain). This is the path to long-lasting transformation. The brilliant Layla Martin has trained me in a classical tantric approach to integration, which is a beautiful mixture of embodiment practices, breathwork, sex magic, energetic meditation, and many other amazing tools.

A delicious daily self-love practice can also really help to begin building this inner ecology of love and thriving. 

    𝟭. Dance Naked to happy dance music you love, all alone, sometimes inside, sometimes outside. If inside, roll around on your bed like a little kid as part of the dance!! 
    𝟮. Get a chair for your shower, sit, and enjoy the feeling of the hot water running down your body. Standing takes energy!! And as you sit, go on a rampage of appreciation & love for yourself. Love & appreciate every part of yourself that you can think of.
    𝟯. Put on some beautiful music, lie on your back, and gently breath through your mouth. Place your legs in the butterfly position. When you inhale, slowly open your legs, and imagine breathing in love through your pussy or your balls. Let this love fill your entire body. Feel it everywhere you need it. And when you exhale, closing your legs, feel this love energy circulating inside you, holding you, loving you. Repeat for 5-15 min.
